Finding our roots in Cochrane
27 years in business… where has the time gone? Not only has this community grown but the need for our business to grow has as well. Beginning with a single person, myself, back in 1997 getting known in the community and finding my roots was an exciting time. Yet as time progressed I began to realize I needed to bring a focus to my company on particular projects. I pride Masters Group on being a compassionate, particular and a high achieving company. There was a demand for what I was looking for which was renovations, additions and unique developments.
The company was founded as Masters Custom Carpentry, and years later has grown to a staff of seven and now has plumbing and electrical divisions. When our customers began to require these services on almost every job, it made sense to bring those services in house as this ends up being more cost effective for our customers.
We also maintain a strong relationship with our many well skilled sub trades. Most of our trades have been with us since our inception and know what it takes to keep up to the high demands I put on them to ensure our customers are getting what they have paid for.
Our projects are local to Cochrane and in surrounding communities. We are proud to be local and love to support local businesses where we can. Staying as a small company has its challenges. Being that we pride ourselves on complete projects carried out professionally and correctly takes time. So, many people don’t realize they may have to wait to begin their project. We are a company that relies on word of mouth and I feel it’s better not to take on a project at the expense of another one. I like staying small because I have the ability to ensure the job is being done correctly.
The root of Masters Group begins with doing work that we can walk away from feeling proud of and we want that for our future clients and their projects.
We are about quality and meeting the needs of our clients.
Cochrane is home for me and my family. We love it here. As a family and a company we are so very pleased to be a part of this growing community.
Thank you very much,
Scott Irmen
